Boxer Jermain Taylor should remain hospitalized for further testing, Judge Leon Johnson said today during a court appearance. Taylor has been charged in two firearms assault cases and was ordered to undergo physical and mental testing.

Channel 4 reports on today's hearing:

During the hearing before Judge Leon Johnson, Taylor was ordered back to the hospital for further evaluation. The psychologist working with Taylor will give the judge a recommendation later this week.

The therapist told the judge Taylor has problems with alcohol, marijuana and impulse issues but wants to change. He said further that Taylor has been a "complete gentleman" but has a "frat boy mentality" when he's not training.

The Oasis Renewal Center has a plan for Taylor if the judge decides to send him there. A representative of the center says Taylor would spend 60-120 days there and then transition to rehab.
