Series of earthquakes in North Texas; more questions about fracking

North Texas experienced a series of small earthquakes yesterday and they renewed talk of the link between increased seismic activity and hydraulic fracturing energy exploration, such as has occurred in Arkansas's Fayetteville shale.

Small earthquakes have become more common in Texas and Oklahoma. In October, Texas officials amended rules for disposal well operators amid concerns that high-pressure injections related to hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, can trigger earthquakes.
