He said he would reappoint Jim Von Gremp
of Rogers to the UA Board of Trustees; Phillip Taldo,
a Springdale real estate developer, to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, and Neff Basore,
a retired Benton County sheriff's deputy who lives in Bella Vista, to the State Police Commission. Basore takes a seat held by Woody Futrell
of Nashville for 23 years. End of an era. He's a grandson of the governor, Marion Futrell, who created the State Police in 1935. Basore is a part of the Cooper family that established retirement communities at Bella Vista and elsewhere.
