Time is running short, but there’s still a chance Arkansas Public Service Commission Chairman Colette Honorable could be confirmed to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission this year.

Things move slowly in the Senate, particularly with all the partisan complications. But a Senate committee mustered a voice vote yesterday to move confirmation of Honorable’s appointment by President Obama to the Senate floor. There’s no opposition to her confirmation. If she isn’t approved this year before Congress adjourns, the process would have to start anew next year.
