It's an old story, unfortunately. Right of way work by a utility company causes unhappiness among neighbors.

KARK reports here on CenterPoint gas line work along Markham Street between Hughes and Mississippi that neighbors believe have damaged trees lining Markham to the point that they are in danger of falling. An arborist has issued a pessimistic report. CenterPoint says it will get is own arborist to take a look and remove trees if necessary.

City Hall is also a focus of complaints. Neighbors have been unable to get information from City Hall about easements and wonder if, there are no ready records on utility easements, how CenterPoint got the permits for the work. Neighbors also think the city was deficient in monitoring the work.

Don't get me started on the butchering Entergy has done to trees through Knoop Park and adjacent forest land.
