School board meetings set Monday in Pulaski County

The Pulaski County School District announces a couple of board meetings Monday.

At 5 p.m. at Jacksonville City Hall, an organizational meeting will be held for the first board of the new Jacksonville/North Pulaski School District, to be carved out of the Pulaski district after formal approval yesterday by the state Board of Education.

At 6:30 p.m. at Pulaski district offices, a citizens advisory committee (the district is currently under state control and has no elected board) will hear several proposals for bonuses for district employees. The administration has recommended a $960 non-recurring bonus for certified employee, while the certified personnel policy committee has recommend a $1,250 non-recurring bonus for those employees. A committee that recommends policies for classified employees has recommended a non-recurring $515 bonus.
