The group working to preserve Fayetteville's new civil rights ordinance has invited call-ins tonight for Fayetteville with questions about the ordinance, referred to the ballot in a special election Dec. 9.

Alderman Matthew Petty, sponsor of the anti-discrimination measure, and Anne Shelley, a leader of Keep Fayetteville Fair, will answer questions and provide information about the campaign. The ordinance provides recourse for people who've been discriminated against in employment, housing or public accommodations on account of race, gender, relgiion or sexual orientation. (PS: It's objections from people who want discrimination against LGBT people that led to the referendum.)

The group's website is here. The message is to vote against repeal. To participate tonight, residents may call 877-229-8493. The PIN is 113050.
