U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor and Rep. Tom Cotton, plus two third-party candidates will debate on AETN today.

Watch it live at 2 p.m. on C-SPAN or on the web at aetn.org. It will be rebroadcast on AETN Tuesday night at 8.

The debate is being held at UCA’s Reynolds hall and is open to the public beginning at 1 p.m.

Tuesday night, Pryor and Cotton will debate domestic issues in Fayetteville, an event arranged by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. It will be broadcast at 7 p.m. on C-SPAN and several Arkansas TV stations — KAIT, KATV, and KHOG.

AETN plans a series of debates this week for all congressional seats and four statewide offices — governor, lt. governor, attorney general and secretary of state.

Voters can get a look at all the candidates for these offices, except one.

Secretary of State Mark Martin is too busy not showing up for work at the Capitol to be bothered to debate Democrat Susan Inman. What does he fear? The transparency of her superior qualifications, most likely. He’s banking on his NASCAR-familiar name to keep him on the public payroll for four more years.
