Yes, I’m back in Little Rock after two weeks in Hungary, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, a feast of beer, bread and architecture. I posted quite a few photos on my Facebook page.
The Times crew kept me abreast of events here. I’ve missed a relentless onslaught of news releases, dark money advertising and wildly misleading electioneering, but it doesn’t appear things have much changed. My take on polls is that the yellow dog voter now trends Republican in Arkansas, but the percentage is still less than a majority. Is there a silent majority lurking in the undecided and “independent” voters? We’ll soon know.
That strudel was a Prague version. A guide on a walking tour of Prague for food lovers told me that there are dozens if not hundreds of different ways to make strudel in Mittel Europa. Hard to go wrong with apples and pastry dough.
