Channel 4 reports here on the capture today of Timothy Buffington, a state prison escapee, at an address in Booneville. Buffington escaped from the Pine Bluff Unit in June. He was serving a 20-year sentence for the murder of his ex-wife in Logan County.

A state trooper, alerted by a trooper, stopped a man dressed in camouflage outside a home and asked if was Buffington. He surrendered without resistance shortly before noon today.

A TV reporter asked Buffington after his capture how he’d survived 90 days in the woods (though it’s unclear exactly where Buffington spent all his days). Buffington responded:

“Squirrel”

Buffington, it had been thought, might have grown a beard to avoid detection. Apparently he had a razor with him in the woods, judging by this photo from KARK:
