Fox 16 reports that Troy A. Sanders, 16, is being held as an adult on a $1.5 million bond in the weekend robbery of three employees as they closed an Arby's on Chenal Parkway. The employees were held for two hours and shots were fired during unsuccessful efforts to break into a safe.

Sanders faces three robbery, theft and kidnapping charges, plus fleeing and failure to stop after an accident (a collision with a car as the suspects fled Arby's.)

Another juvenile was hospitalized and a final decison on charges has not been made in his case. He allegedly sexually assaulted an employee.

I'm attempting to nail down whether Sanders has had previous encounters with police but was adjudicated as a juvenile, which prevents his full record from being made public. The nature of past encounters and the argument for juvenile consideration are sometimes interesting when a suspect with a past figures in a crime.

This Sanders is apparently the same Troy A. Sanders charged originally as an adult in the robbery of four individuals and a convenience store between July 30 and Aug. 1, 2013. The cases were transferred to juvenile court and thus authorities can't talk about them. But a bit of the records exist in public files.

Pulaski circuit court records show that Circuit Judge Leon Johnson rejected in April a prosecution request for continuing monitoring of Troy A. Sanders after he turns 18. In refusing that request — the state's way to keep touch with someone with potential for further offenses —   the judge acknowledged the severity of the crimes and the use of a gun, but said he believed this defendant had been influenced by an older accomplice and noted that none of the victims was injured.

Here's the judge's order in that case.
The Aug. 1 robbery in the case of that Troy A. Sanders was an armed robbery of the One-Stop convenience store, a crime shown on YouTube above in which the robber, wearing a wig, was caught on tape.

Here's the One-Stop robbery report.

These are the multiple individual robberies that figured in the juvenile cases against a Troy A. Sanders.
