  • TACKY: Upholstery tacks strewn on county roads have been a recurring problem for bicyclists on routes in the Pinnacle Mountain area.

Channel 11 reports a recurrence
of what appears to be motorist rage at bicyclists — spreading of upholstery tacks on popular bicycle routes such as Highway 300 and Pinnacle Valley Road northwest of Little Rock. The episode this year repeats a scattering of tacks a year ago in the vicinity. An on-line petition campaign has begun against the tactic.

More details at a local cycling blog, including the picture above of a biker hefting his bike through the tack zone.

The vandals are hard to catch.
