Here's the day's open line and video news roundup. Also:

* HIGH-RANKED HIGH SCHOOL: Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs, the state's competitive admission residential school, is ranked 8th in the country by Daily Beast in the successor versoin of Newsweek's high school rankings. It was 13th last year. Haas Hall Academy in Fayetteville was ranked 22d. College admission rates, test scores and college-level course offerings are key criteria.

* EQUALITY FOR WOMEN: You think women have attained equal status in the workforce? You think they are judged solely on merit? Get a load of this report on Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's coming book. Example from several made by congressional colleagues as she struggled to lose weight after a pregnancy:

In the House gym, she recalled, another of her male colleagues advised her to work out to avoid getting "porky."

"Thanks, a—hole,” she quipped in her book.
