Ammo, the Little Rock police dog who bit two neighbors after escaping from his keeper’s fenced enclosure in Saline County, is back on duty the LRPD said in a brief statement last night:
Ammo will work from a leash only for a two-week observation period. He will only assist with the tracking of suspects and will not assist any further.
The primary issue of the dog getting out of the kennel has been addressed. The kennels now have a secondary locking device. When the dog is with the handler the handler is able to control the dog with verbal commands. The vendor was contacted to see what additional training measures can be performed.
