Police found three men wounded by gunshots after responding to a call about 11 p.m. Tuesday to Aces & Kings  liquor store at 6821 Col.. Glenn Road, just east of the Bryant Street intersection. None of the three had life-threatening injuries, but police remain uncertain about circumstances at the root of the shootings.

The summary said:

The officer found one man, Tyrony Smith, 43, sitting in front of the liquor store with what appeared to be pellet-sized wounds in his left leg and  arm. He said he was standing outside an Exxon station across the street and was "shot out of nowhere."

While talking with Smith, a second victim, Lamont London, 35, walked up and said he'd been shot as well. Officers saw a single, large-caliber would to London's "behind." He said he didn't know who shot him, but said two men in white T-shirts walked out of the Exxon and started shooting.

As a rescue unit responded, a witness said there was a third victim in a car wash bay at the Exxon station. There police found Demetrius Edwards, 22, who said he was sitting in the building when he was suddenly shot. He said he didn't know the shooter. Edwards had gunshot wounds to the abdomen, arm, leg and hand consistent with birdshot, the police report said. All three were hospitalized.

One witness told police he'd heard that one of the victims, Edwards, was a gang member and that one of the shooters was a member of a rival gang.

Police haven't obtained video so far and plan more witness interviews, a spokesman said.
