Here's the day's open line, plus our video headlines. Otherwise:

* CITY FILING BEGINS: Former state Rep. Kathy Webb filed petitions today for Little Rock City Board from Ward 3. The seat is being vacated by Stacy Hurst, who's running for state House. Webb's candidacy had been expected. She's the first candidate to file, with the filing period continuing through Aug. 15. Mayor Mark Stodola has announced for re-election.

Also on the ballot this year are these seats: Ward 1 (Erma Hendrix); Ward 2 (Ken Richardson); Ward 5 (Lance Hines); Ward 6 (Doris Wright); Ward 7 (B.J. Wyrick.)

* DRUG DIRECTOR RETIRES: Gov. Mike Beebe's office announced today that Fran Flener will retire July 31 as state drug director. Steve Varady, program manager in the office, will serve as interim director for the remainder of Beebe's term.

* MARGOT ADLER, BORN IN LITTLE ROCK, DIES AT 68: NPR journalist Margot Adler, a Wiccan priestess among other pursuits, died Monday at her New York home. Obituaries note she was born in Little Rock in 1946, but her family moved shortly after to New York. According to a biography on the Witches and Withcraft website, her father, Dr. Kurt Alfred Adler, was a psychiatrist and a self-professed atheist, while her mother, Freyda Nacque Adler, was a Jewish agnostic and a radical educator. Her grandfather, Alfred Adler, was the Viennese psychiatrist considered by many to be the father of Individual Psychology.
