SYMPATHY FOR ASA: FactCheck.org faults this Democratic ad for blaming Asa Hutchinson for expense he didn't create. It was "just the latest in a campaign marked by exaggerations and misleading claims on both sides."

FactCheck.org, which weighs the veracity of political ads, has now jumped Democrats for an ad hitting Asa Hutchinson. This follows earlier findings about Hutchinson misrepresentations.

Here''s the latest link, saying Democrats are off-base for blaming Hutchinson for fat bonuses and a deluxe party thrown for the Homeland Security Administration when Hutchinson was a top official. He didn't order up the expenses, FactCheck says of the ad by a Democratic governors group.

Earlier, FactCheck rapped Hutchinson for misrepresenting Ross' votes on Obamacare and loyalty to Nancy Pelosi.

I'm guessing FactCheck will have more bones to pick on both sides of this campaign before it is over. Never mind the ads. Yesterday, Hutchinson's campaign claimed he was a supporter of an increase in the minimum wage when he's never voted for such an increase or expressed support for a specific proposal. Plus, on Friday, he specifically opposed the only pending minimum wage proposal, a ballot initiative to increase it to $8.50 by 2017. Ross supports that initiative.
