The Historic Preservation Alliance
today released its list of most endangered places.
There are lot of endangered places, but the annual gimmick draws attention to some of the most notable.
Here's this year's list.
Mound sites statewide
: Mounds of native people dating back to 1500 BC are in danger from agricultural and industrial development.
The Central High School Neighborhood Historic District
: It's stocked with old homes in varying stages of disrepair.
In Hot Springs,
the downtown district,
the John Lee Webb House
and the Thompson Building

THOMPSON BUILDING: This George R. Mann designed building on Central Avenue in Hot Springs isn't occupied beyond the first floor and is vulnerable to fire, the Alliance said, in singling it out as endangered.
