I asked John Robinson, the National Weather Service meteorologist, for a map that would give an indication of where high-intensity tornadoes occur most often in Arkansas. He provided the map above, compiled by Greg Carbin at the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center. It color codes all tornadoes the last 50 years. A cluster emerges along a diagonal line bisecting the state, particularly in the heart of the state, which felt the brunt of Sunday's tornadoes.
