Real estate agent gets 18 months in prison for false loan application

Christian Sanchez of Rogers has been sentenced in Fayetteville to 18 months in federal prison and fined $2,500 for falsifying a client's employment information to obtain a home mortgage loan. Sanchez also was ordered to pay restitution of $132,550.

U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge Conner Eldridge said Sanchez worke for Lighthouse Real Estate and submjitted false pay stubs to a bank for a couple to buy a home in Rogers. Eldridge said a relative of the loan applicant had helped the scheme by falsely stating he employed the man when a bank called to check.

Sanchez pleaded guilty last fall.
