The National Weather Service released its ratings on the storms that hit Arkansas Sunday night.

It says there were five distinct tornadoes:

EF4 Mayflower to Vilonia. EF2 near Center Hill. EF0 near Steprock 2 EF1s: Jackson, Independence counties.

EF5 is as bad as it gets. That's happened only once in Arkansas. An EF4 has winds of 166-200 mph.

Here's more from Channel 4 on the worst part of the storm:

According to officials, this tornado started West of Ferndale and ended in El Paso. It was on the ground for 41.3 miles and lasted over an hour. This tornado was at maximum strength near Downtown Vilonia.
