Michael Cook at Talk Business reports
coming Arkansas visits by former President Bill Clinton
to raise money for Democratic congressional candidates James Lee Witt
and Patrick Henry Hays.
He'll raise money for 4th District candidate Witt, FEMA director under Clinton, on April 5 at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs. Clinton will appear for Hays, running in the 2nd District, April 6 at the Argenta Community Theater.
He's already helped Sen. Mark Pryor
and Cook predicts Clinton will provide some fund-raising energy eventually, too, for Mike Ross, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate who once was a driver for Clinton in his Arkansas campaigning days. Help for Ross wouldn't occur until after the primary, when Ross faces political unknown Lynette Bryant, so far a mystery candidate who's declined most press interviews but who's being touted by Republicans eager to cause mischief.
