Federal Bankruptcy Judge James Mixon, 72, died last night at his home on Shenandoah Drive. His wife, Robbie, told police he'd been having respiratory difficulties and was taking medication for several ailments. Because he'd been having trouble sleeping, she was sleeping in a separate bedroom. She found him unresponsive when she checked on him about 4:50 a.m. Mixon took the bench in 1984.
