The Little Rock police report one person was killed and another wounded by shots fired early this morning into a car that later stopped at a convenience store on Baseline Road. The shooter apparently was angered by “prank” played on him. The initial report:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting just occurred call at 0053 hours on 2/15/14 to the Kum & Go Station located at 7620 Baseline Road. A white Hyundai Sonata with Arkansas License (SKYCZ) was observed parked in front of the business. The driver’s side window of the vehicle was shattered and there was a bullet hole observed near the driver’s side door handle.
There were multiple subjects inside the Sonata. A female passenger identified as Adrian Broadway (B/F 10/7/98) was unresponsive and suffered a gunshot wound to the head. She later died at Children’s Hospital as a result of her injuries. The driver Dshone Nelson (B/M 1/30/96) had minor lacerations to his hands from the broken glass.
The victims reported[ly] had done a prank on the suspect’s home when he ran out of the house and started shooting at the vehicle. The ages of the youth in the vehicle are 18 Nelson (driver), 15 Broadway (front seat passenger, rear seat passengers were 17 and two (2) 15-year-olds. Nelson was transported to Baptist Hospital for his injuries. Broadway was transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she expired from her injuries.
A suspect is in custody and being interviewed, police said.
UPDATE: The police have charged Willie Noble, 27, with first degree murder, terroristic threatening and five counts of assault.
There were seven passengers in the vehicle. The ages were 18, 17 year old, four 15 year olds and one 14 year old.
