U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge announced today that former Garland County deputy sheriff Neil Parliment had been sentenced to 45 months in prison and five years of supervised release for facilitating prostitution. He was sentenced by federal Judge Susan Hickey.

Parliment, a marine patrol officer, arranged for a Memphis prostitute to come to Hot Springs to work in the first half of 2013. According to the investigation, Parliment engaged in sex with the prostitute as well as arranging business for her with others. He pleaded guilty July 29.
