Verico Ingram, 26, of 7515 Geyer Springs Road, was found fatally wounded by a close-range shotgun blast shortly after midnight near 15th and Abigail Streets.

Police received a report that a woman had heard three gunshots and saw two people running. In the 4200 block of 15th Street, officers found Ingram slumped in the driver’s seat of a car with the driver side window and the rear passenger window broken out. Officers said he apparently was shot at close range and struck in the chest and face.
