The secretary of state's
office has notified the Green Party
that it had gathered more than the necessary 10,000 signatures to qualify the party for a spot on the 2014 general election ballot.
They join the Libertarian Party
along with Democrats and Republicans. The Green and Libertarian parties will nominate candidates by convention. If either party's gubernatorial candidate gets 3 percent of the vote in 2014, they must hold primary elections for nominations in future elections.
