The line is open. Final note:

* BUT WILL THEY PLAY THE DREIDEL SONG ON THE STORE SOUND SYSTEM? Hobby Lobby, whose conservative Christian politics drew unflattering attention this week after the absence of Jewish holiday merchandise was noted in its stores, announced today that changes will be made. Prepared statement:

OKLAHOMA CITY – Hobby Lobby President Steve Green issued the following statement on Oct. 4, 2013:

"Due to overwhelming demand in the Northeast, we are pleased to announce that we will begin offering Jewish holiday items in a number of stores to test the market in New York and New Jersey.

We will continue to evaluate the demand for products. We appreciate the feedback we¹ve received from our customers, and we hope these products will meet their needs.

Customers can expect to see those items in stores in early November."

Arkansas Jews, you might check Michael's.

* JUDICIAL FUND-RAISING: To be sure all understand the rules, the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission said today that Nov. 21 is the date that judicial candidates may begin raising and accepting money for judicial elections next year. Several candidates are already campaigning. If a few pre-commitments haven't been made, I'd be surprised.
