The 2013 Little Rock Pride Parade is being held in October to coincide with LGBT History Month. Little Rock does not currently offer much space for LGBT people to come together and feel accepted. Establishing a pride parade in the capital city will give people the chance to see LGBT people here, and to see the many businesses, politicians, community leaders, and others who are committed to celebrating and supporting diversity and equality. We hope that this parade will become a symbol of the strong community of acceptance we envision for Central Arkansas.
We hope that the parade will:
* Provide space for people to come together to celebrate diversity and equality;
* Strengthen the community experience for LGBT people in Arkansas;
* Offer LGBT youth positive space for gaining confidence in themselves, in their families, the LGBT community, and the broader community;
