40/29 News in Ft. Smith reports that a warrant has been issued for a man who police say made a threat to "shoot up" an elementary school in Fayetteville.

Sammie Polite
faces a felony terroristic threatening charge after, police say, a student told a teacher at Parson Hills Elementary School earlier this week that Polite, who is the student's father, threatened to "take a gun, shoot up the halls, and make it a silent night at Parson Hills." The student's aunt also called in a warning about the threat.

In addition to locking down Parson Hills, police have also secured Holcomb Elementary in Fayetteville because a student who attends Holcomb is also related to Polite. Police in Springdale and Ashley County are reportedly looking for Polite there.
