More good publicity for the Land of Opportunity, courtesy of Talking Points Memo:
Michael Wayne Cummins
of Fort Smith has been indicted by a federal grand jury for threatening to assault Democratic U.S. Rep. Ron Barber of Arizona and telling a staff member:
"I am not interested in killing Ron, but I am interested in bashing his teeth in and seeing him rot in hell."
The man added the general threat "I am just going to start killing people indiscriminately," and spelled out his name for the staffer as well as his phone number.
Barber was wounded, but survived the 2011 mass Tucson shooting that nearly killed Gabby Giffords, whose seat Barber now holds.
Court documents indicate
when agents interviewed Cummins he acknowledged making the call.
