Things are slow and this is one of the best things I've watched on the web in a while.
I'd mentioned previously the news coverage of the passage of an ordinance banning discrimination against gay people in tiny and hardscrabble Vicco, Ky., the work of a popular mayor who happens to be gay. I had a personal interest from my daughter's support of a grassroots advocacy group that works in that area of Kentucky and figured in the story.
But the Colbert Report beats the New York Times all hollow with its interviews of the very down-to-earth people of Vicco. Highly recommended if you have seven minutes to spare.
