Heritage Action for America, the sister-organization of the leading conservative public policy organization, The Heritage Foundation, is holding a town hall event in Fayetteville, AR to highlight the failures of Obamacare and how Congress can stop the law from hurting more Americans.
“The need for civic engagement has never been greater, which is why Heritage Action is holding a town hall meeting in Northwest Arkansas. Four years ago, Americans flooded town hall meetings only to see their voices ignored by Washington politicians. Now, thanks to the work of Heritage Action Sentinels and conservatives across the country, we’ll make sure lawmakers get the message. The American people expect them to stop Obamacare in its tracks,” says Michael A. Needham, CEO of Heritage Action for America.
“As we all are seeing, Obamacare is not only unworkable and unfair, we can’t afford it. Thanks to Washington’s big spending ways, our nation already carries a debt of more than $17 trillion. The last thing we need is to be burdened with a bureaucrat-controlled health care system that will dictate which doctors we can see and the quality of care we receive,” explains Jim DeMint, President of The Heritage Foundation. “Fortunately we can do something to change this, and the best way to turn our country around is by working with people like you. I’m honored to be in Fayetteville and at this town hall to hear your ideas about how to get our nation back on track.”
The town hall meeting will provide citizens with practical information and tools that will help in their efforts to hold Congress accountable. Additionally, participants will discuss conservative policy ideas for defunding Obamacare and ways to rein in out-of-control government spending as well as other topics.
The town hall meetings are open to the public. RSVP online at HeritageAction.com/Fayetteville.
