The Human Rights Campaign has released its annual Healthcare Equality Index, a survey-based recognition of health care facilities that pledge to provide equal treatment to LGBT patients. The new report indicates that a record 718 healthcare facilities nationwide, including 121 veterans’ medical centers, have pledged themselves to equal treatment for LGBT patients.

You can see here the more than 460 institutions judged as leaders for meeting all four criteria for excellence. A grand total of ONE institution in Arkansas made the list, the VA Central Arkansas Healthcare System. It was the only institution in the state that participated in the survey. Asa! would approve.
