The Lambda Literary Awards are awarded each year by the Lambda Literary Foundation of New York, and honor those works that explore gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender themes. Previous winners include John Irving, Mark Doty, Augusten Burroughs, and David Sedaris.
In a news release, Sibling Rivalry Press publisher Bryan Borland, who started the press three years ago in a spare bedroom, said: “Stephen personifies the mission of Sibling Rivalry Press, which is to publish work that disturbs and enraptures. We’re equally proud to represent Arkansas on a national level. We’re in the midst of a creative renaissance in the state, and we’re happy that Sibling Rivalry Press is part of that.”
