The Wakarusa music festival is underway on Mulberry Mountain near Ozark. The weather provided a soggy welcome.
Kat Robinson provided the photo above and comments:
Pretty much everything you need to know about the conditions at Wakarusa. The place is packed — there's nowhere left to park or camp. This shot was taken after a good 12 hours of dry weather. The mud is significant — and it's everywhere. But the fans keep coming, the musicians keep jamming and everyone's battening down the hatches for Saturday.
Kat, who writes for the state Parks, Recreation and Travel Department, also blogs at tiedyetravels.com and gave a colorful rundown of past Wakarusa gatherings a few days ago.
