UALR to announce 'game changer' economic development



Intriguing announcement:


UALR will make a major economic development and higher education announcement. UALR Chancellor Joel E. Anderson will be joined by Governor Mike Beebe for a major announcement about a new UALR center funded by the George W. Donaghey Foundation. Dr. Mary L. Good, UALR's Special Advisor to the Chancellor for Economic Development and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission will provide additional information. The new center is being called a "game changer" and will be headed by UALR's nationally recognized scientist, Dr. Good.

The news conference and tours of the new facility will provide opportunities for on-camera interviews and photos, with demonstrations by leading Arkansas companies and organizations.

NOTE: Media tours and various demonstrations will continue following the announcement through 3:30 p.m.. The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), Acxiom, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Southwest Power Pool, Nabholz Construction Services and others will participate in the demonstration.
