Interested in the debate over a commercial hog feeding operation on Big Creek in the Buffalo National River watershed?

A grassroots group, Buffalo River Rescue, will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Fayetteville Public Library about the 6,500-hog C&H operation in Mount Judea. Speakers include Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan, Bob Cross of the Ozark Society, and Terry Spence of the Socially Responsible Agriculture Project. Panelists are Bob McKinney (Sierra Club), Joe Neal (Audubon Society), Deborah Doss (Arkansas Canoe Club), Dr. Sonya Hausmann (environmental scientist), Paul Lowrey (geologist), and state Rep. Greg Leding of Fayetteville.
