The LRPD says an arrest has been made in the spate of home burglaries reported during daylight hours Monday in Hillcrest and the Heights. Break-ins while occupants were away resulted in thefts of computers, silverware and French champagne, among others.

Bryant Anthony Billings, 40, was charged with burglary and theft in a break-n at 4809 North Lookout, Sgt. Cassandra Davis. Detectives apparently got a tip that led them to the arrest. Further charges are being investigated.
