Sen. Bryan King’s voter I.D. bill is up for debate in a House committee this morning after a vote was delayed last week to allow time for a fiscal impact statement to be prepared.
The fiscal impact statement says it would cost $300,000 for hardware and training.

UPDATE: After a short, clumsy debate that spent a considerable time on provisional ballots, Rep. John Hutchinson made a motion to “do pass,” which truncated the debate, keeping anyone from testifying.
It passed out of committee 13-6.
