The city of Little Rock has put a link on its website to storm debris clean-up by ward. Until mid-February, city solid waste and public operations crews were doing pick-up. The city hired Ceres Environmental for $47.44 a ton; they've picked up 3,000 tons in the past three weeks.

Here's a comparison of progress: Ward 3 at the end of January looked like this (click to enlarge):

By Feb. 25, it looked like this:

FEMA estimated the tons of debris at 22,000; Ceres contract is for 160 days, or through the end of July. The city anticipates Ceres will finish its work before the contract's end.

John Honeywell, assistant public works director, said the total pick-up today is 10,690 tons in 4,532 loads.
