Four men initially charged with second degree battery, a Class D felony, in an Arkansas Tech hazing case that we reported on in September have pleaded guilty to hazing, a class D misdemeanor, and were sentenced to 90 days probation. The incident left DeShawn Scoggins, a 23-year-old Arkansas Tech football player, in intensive care, with kidney damage so severe that doctors placed him in a week-long medical coma. The Courier has more.
