A man trying to withdraw money from a cash machine at a bank on Baseline Road Wednesday told police he was accosted and robbed by a knife-wielding thief.

Aeriel Johnson of Mabelvale told police that he was withdrawing money from the ATM at the U.S. Bank at 6004 Baseline just after 4 p.m. Wednesday when I man in a mask ran up, brandished a knife, and said “give me your wallet or you’re going to get stabbed.” Aeriel gave the man his wallet, and the thief fled. Because of the mask, Johnson couldn’t give an accurate description of the suspect, and he’s still at large. Police report here: BANK_ROBBERY_PDF.PDF
