- AT THE SCENE: Officers gather outside Arvest bank.
Twitter from KATV reports a bank robbery at an Arvest branch on Chenal with an additional report that someone may have been shot in the leg.
UPDATE: About that shooting….

RT @JustinLewisKATV NEW INFO: Bystander at gas station saw robber leave bank and fired shots w/ personal gun. Bystander in blue scrubs.
More here from Fox 16. It seems that a bystander decided to take the law into his own hands and fire at a person he believed to be a fleeing robber. It’s not yet clear whose bullet struck whom.
Whatever the facts, I’d guess that firing at a fleeing possible criminal suspect in a grocery store parking lot near a busy thoroughfare is not something police will want to encourage.
UPDATE II: Here’s KARK’s account. Their early word is that two robbers robbed and shot someone either entering or leaving the bank and then a bystander fired at them as they fled. But it cautions that early reports could change.
UPDATE III: KTHV says the self-deputized shooter was a doctor.
