On 10-12-2012 at approximately 2000 hours, robbery detectives were in concealed locations around Regions Bank when they observed Rushing and a second unknown black male walking around in the area. They appeared to be watching three people at the atm, however they did not make contact with them. Detectives identified themselves and ordered the suspect to drop the gun. The suspect fled in a northern direction. The suspect was able to elude detectives at that time.
A short time later, detectives went to 1400 Old Forge #2201 and located Deshaun Rushing. Rushing was transported to the Major Crimes Division.
