Good news for Democrats in an important swing state. A court has halted the state's voter ID law. It was designed to suppress Democratic votes.
Here's more detail on the ruling, which explains that IDs can still be requested, but voting may continue if they are not produced. This is similar to what the law is in Arkansas now.
UPDATE: What's really needed are laws to stop Republican voter registration fraud. You've read, haven't you, about the Republican Party's pullback from voter registration drives in swing states because of scandal on top of scandal?
PS — If Republican trickery can't deliver more voters, Pennsylvania is probably lost to Romney. Which reminds me of an alternate scheme for Romney floated by Stephen Colbert (above) last week — move 290 million people to Arkansas. "Come for the meth — stay because you traded your car for meth."
