I mentioned Sunday that I’d heard UALR, once a non-residential commuter school in the old days, was completing full transition to a campus with residential housing by planning to move next year to required dorm living for entering freshman.

A spokesman confirmed that report for me today. We’ll likely report a little more on the ramifications in the future, but to confirm, she said:
Starting next fall all full-time, first-time entering freshmen will be required to live in student housing and take a meal plan. There will be some exemptions granted through an application process. This policy is similar to other four-year universities in the state including UCA and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
