The line is open. Please take over. I'd apologize for slacking, but I have been listening and learning (with, OK, I admit, one brief snooze break reminiscent of my college lecture hall practice) with our Idea Festival speakers. It's kind of wonderful to discover how much stuff of value other people know. Great day, capped with a great presentation by a UA chemical engineering prof, helped by a couple of bright students, on bright prospects for their study of algae as biofuel. He didn't say, but I will, that this is the kind of thing government has and should continue to support, Tea Party be damned.
* WALMART GENDER BIAS: A federal judge in California has greenlighted continuation of a gender bias case against Walmart.
* I HEAR RUMORS: An e-mail from the western wall of Arkansas reports hints of a reputed big story with political angle slated for publication in Sunday Democrat-Gazette. It is described by an anonymous correspondent as the "worst thing anyone I know has ever done." That presumably would take it beyond the garden variety zippergate stories floating around. OR: maybe nothing to it, of course. UPDATE: Nothing momentous to be found in Sunday paper.
