Technology Park FOIs pinched from chair's office building

Dr. Mary Good, chairman of the Little Rock Technology Park Authority board, said today that originals of letters to her about the siting of the park were removed Friday from a room near her office in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Engineering Technology and Applied Science building.

In response to a Freedom of Information request from the Times, Good had placed the materials on a table with sticky note pads and a sign stating that copies would be made of pages marked with the sticky notes.

Good is furious. Even letters that had been e-mailed are gone for good; her computer was switched out and the old hard drive erased while she was on vacation in August, she said.

Good said the letters were from individuals, one from a man who included a picture of a home next door to his that had a bullet hole in the door. As such, they didn't constitute an organized homeowner effort that would allow the Authority board to once again consider locating in the residential areas known as Forest Hills and Fair Park, she said.
