One game doesn't define a program. But two?

Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long remarked on last Saturday's Razorback loss to ULM during a ceremony Friday for the Hogs' new football facility. Stephens Media passes along his quote:

“One game does not make a season. One game does not define a program. One game does not indicate the success or failure of a program. One game does not cause me to doubt the direction of our athletic program. With your help we are building a program that can compete year-in and year-out with the very best in this conference and in this nation. Six years running the national championship in football has come from this conference. We’ll be successful. We'll not be deterred. We'll not be discouraged and make no mistake about it, the future of the University of Arkansas Razorback athletics is very, very bright.”

I still like Coach John L. Smith's reported statement that, if ULM can beat the University of Arkansas, why can't UA beat Alabama?

No game in any sport is worth jeopardizing the long-term health of a player, BTW.
